Hiatus from Hiatus.

Witty blog entry title? Hmm, maybe not, but I like it regardless.
Well I guess I should start posting some more ramblings :P

Bloodstock. Holy fuck bloodstock was awesome. I have to go to at least one festival a year, and this year this was the one, and oh my it was fantastic.
The band I enjoyed the most was without a doubt Emperor. As they played I hailed to the sky above me as the rain lashed down unto me. Their performance put me into a state of near arousal, and after I felt as though I could conquer even the most fearsome of beings. So yeah, they were alright I guess ;P
Evil Scarecrow were also fucking fantastic. I don't give a shit if their music is gimmicky as fuck and I'd never listen to it out of a party setting; they owned at 11am with their scuttle pit, robot dancing, ballroom headbanging, and moon moshing.
Other notable bands included Rotting Christ, who I was very happy to see over Down; Obituary, whose new album stuff was so great to hear; Lacuna Coil, where I caught a drumstick :3 and many others.

10/10 would bang. Again.

Ooft.

I really like Anne Rice's works. Sounds very random, but I say this as I watched Queen of the Damned for the first time today. I must say that I did enjoy it; it was well worth the £1 I spent on buying the DVD. Although I do prefer Tom Cruise as Lestat, I'm just fucking happy that they got Armand right in this. French Armand with dark hair is sexy, yes - and that is coming from me of all people; but fucking hell, it's oh so wrong.
I think I might have enjoyed the film more due to Jesse Reeves being played by Marguerite Moreau. Oh my gosh. Do want.
I should really reread the Vampire Chronicles series. It's been far too long.

Ave Satanas

Mmmmm... Black Metal, you are so tasty.

Although, I say that, but I cannot stand the high levels of godawful production within the genre. So, I guess when I say 'mmm Black Metuls' I mean, 'Mmmm, Melodic/Symphonic/Pagan/Atmospheric/Gothic Black Metal with good production standards.' That, however, is a bit of a mouthful.
Also, dear Nocturnal Mortum, ie. my favourite black metal band, why do you have to be NSBM? Ultimately I don't give a shit and I'll happily support you financially by buying your things because you make me happy with your delicious music. But why. I'm really not trve kvlt though - I wear the biggest of smiles pretty much permanently.
I got horribly lost on youtube yesterday whilst scraping the barrel for something good and interesting that I haven't listened to. I found myself listening to fucking Nazi marches due to NSBM bands. Whoops, ahaha. At least with Nokturnal Mortum I can happily be oblivious to what they are on about due to having no grasp of the Ukranian language.

My Black Metal playlist is looking pretty damn juicy right now. A glorious 15Gb of it. 4 and a half days worth of music. I'd play it non-sop for that but the transformer to my docking station broke and I don't have the excellent stereo I have at home with me. Laptop speaker quality is fucking killing me. I am a bit of an audiophile, so I keep falling asleep with my headphones on. Though it actually means I keep waking up feeling really happy because I've had black metal blasting in my ears throughout the entirety of my slumber, wahaha.

Give pl0x.

16-Bit Goth.

Holy fuck I spent 2 hours on Terraria trying to find a divers helm. Even with a water candle... Ahhh dear.
Sorry. I realise it's been a long time since I have posted anything on here, all sorts has been going on so internet shenanigans have really taken a back seat. However, this week I have played an absolute FUCK TONNE of Terraria. I have now played around 250 hours on it, which is a rather large amount of time.
This is good, but also bad considering I really want Starbound, and I know if I had it my hours would probably be going into that. But alas, I haven't had money to buy it - or rather, I've had more important things to spend my cash on.
In Terraria built a Necromancer's Lair, which you can see below, on a world that is supposed to be played on with me and my friends and younger sister. Unfortunately, I have played on this world oh so so much solo, so much so that I'm really ready to plunge it into hard mode and my sister hasn't even finished building her ice house yet. Whoops.

While I'm banging on about 16-bit games, I'd like to add that I really want Stardew Valley to come out. Holy fuck, I neeeeeeed my multiplayer Harvest Moon. I've wanted this for so so long. It's getting close to finished now, which is fucking glorious. Also, I really want Towerfall Ascension to come onto Steam. Honestly I was almost tempted to get an Ouya just to play it with my friends.
For some reason I have a boner for 16 bit games. Oh, and two and a half D, holy fuck. I guess for me the less D's the better, wahaha.
That also reminds me, that my PSP has gone really really unloved lately, which is silly, it's such a wonderful thing. But I guess it's because I nearly completed Valkyrie Profile on it and that was ripped away from the delicious A ending by 2 points TToTT but anyway, it reminds me as I adore Shining Soul on the GBA, and I play it on my psp because Shining Soul is pretty expensive as far as GBA games go, currently I can buy 1 and 2 boxed on eBay for £70, but there are no other copies of the first game.

Another notable thing, is that my PS3 is still dead. And Theif 4 has come out. And I can't play it. Because my PS3 is dead. Gahhhhh. Soon. (I hope).
I want to be all super sneaky >;D

Misanthropy

I am one of the smileyest fuckers you will meet, yet I absolutely adore gothic doom. It's funny really. The darker and angstier the lyrics, the more downtone and gloomier the sound, the wider my silly grin is. If I'm feeling low I can always be cheered up by a good dose of funeral doom :D
Today I present to thee a wonserfully cheerful song titled 'Darkness and Sadness' by Deborah. This gloriously moody track features some extremely deep bass; rather simple yet solemn keys; raspy and screechy male vocals accompanied by beautifully haunting female vocals.

I think one reason why I love the deeply repetitive drumming of this track (besides the fact that I love the dreaded sound of repetitive doom metal) is that it actually really reminds me of the Zil Padon ruins music from Grandia - my all time favourite game. The drumming kicks in mid track with the Angelou music. So good.

Oh lookie here, I haven't posted since last year

I haven't blogged since Christmas o: which is surprising because I blogged so much before hand ahaha.
I guess not too muich has gone on lately. New year was awesome, but otherwise it's been pretty damn slow.
I've done a lot more gamin', and readin', and music listenin' though.
Oh, and to correct my previous post. I fucking LOVE Drastique's album, Pleasureligion, but my favourite is most certainly 'Legacy of Fascination'. But then I am a complete sucker for wonderful accents. 'You are mine and I am your godess'. Unft. But yes, this really is one of my favourite albums now I would say. It's all just so so good.

I've been playing more Vampire: The Masquerade - Redemption, I finally got past the fucking pendulum in the goddamn Stephansdom. It kept glitching out, so I couldn't even get past it with celerity. But after a century of reloads, eventually the glitching worked to my benefit, as it glitched so high up in the air I could saunter on past it with no issues :P
I've probably said this before, but I fucking love the dialogue in Redemption. Oh Anezka, how thy heart beseeches thee. Sexy fucking nun.
I've also been invited to play a world of darkness Vampire: The Masquerade RPG with my lovely friend every tuesday. Which sounds wonderful. I have no idea what clan I might play yet though, but then it will all depend on the type of character I want to play. I know I don't want to play Nosferatu. Unfortunately I'm too vain for that ahaha. I don't think I will play a Malkavian either. I've been called crazy, but I'm not at that level ahaha.

Over Christmas I managed to finish Jean Kalogridis' Dracul series. I must say, that overall, I enjoyed it. The section with Jonathan Harker in it was very interesting, because it was shown that the three vampire seductresses actually helped him escape - in a way. Some of the time skipping at times was a bit jumpy - but then it covered about 60 years or so in the three books - which of course, to a vampire, is only a small amount of time, despite being 2+ generations. I purchased hard copies of the books now though, because they are most certainly worth owning. I'll just have to finish Dracula The Un-Dead now ahaha.

Merry Christmas!

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and you are as happy as this woman looks whilst being shanked ;D

Once again, image by Randis Albion (his works are so pretty).
